Dr. Anu Perumattam is a certified psychiatric nurse practitioner and clinical nurse specialist. She has 25 years of nursing experience in various specialties such as intensive care, psychiatry, consultation, quality improvement, risk management, infection prevention, correctional nursing, training, and education. Her experience includes hospital consulting, management/leadership roles, institutional review board review, clinical instructor faculty, and nurse practitioner experience working with the veteran population, both at private psychiatric practices and correctional facilities. Dr. Perumattam serves as chief of quality improvement at Santa Clara County correctional facilities and is an expert consultant surveyors for NCCHC.
