Mr. Gautham Sudhakar is a Biology major with a Neuroscience concentration and a minor in Psychological and Brain Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis. Passionate about addiction medicine and public health, he researches neurogenesis and psychopathological models of opioid addiction. He works in the MARCER Lab under Dr. Renee J. Thompson and the Inoue Lab, focusing on physiological data analysis and fluorescence excitation spectra in NiR proteins. Beyond research, he is dedicated to community impact, working on the MAT Program at the Buzz Westfall Justice Center to support incarcerated individuals recovering from opioid use disorder. He also advocates for therapy pod implementation in the St. Louis County Jail. With a strong leadership background, he aims to integrate science, policy, and advocacy to address substance use disorder and promote equitable healthcare solutions.
