Mr. Thet Mon Kyaw, a junior at the University of Southern California, is pursuing a B.S. in Health Promotion & Disease Prevention Studies. Passionate about global health equity, he has extensive experience in public health education and research on healthcare disparities. He currently serves as a Student Intern for the AltaMed + USC Colorectal Cancer Project, where he contributes to the development of educational materials for African American patients through focus group discussions and qualitative research. Additionally, as an Undergraduate Researcher at the Klausner Lab, he focuses on Hepatitis C case management, assisting patients in accessing treatment and improving data collection for patient-centered healthcare delivery. Beyond his academic and research commitments, Mr. Kyaw is the Founder of Ku Nyi, a community initiative that assists Burmese individuals in navigating their healthcare needs in the U.S. He aspires to have a career as a humanitarian, working in refugee camps and war-torn areas.
