Dr. Elissa Miller is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and is currently the Mental Health Director at the Monmouth County Jail in Freehold, New Jersey. She began her career with the Federal Bureau of Prisons, where she served as a Staff Psychologist for the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, NY and as a Forensic Psychologist and Chief Psychologist at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York from 2006 to 2021. In 2021, Dr. Miller was selected to serve as the Mental Health Treatment Coordinator for the Bureau of Prison's Central Office Psychology Services Branch in Washington, D.C., where she conducted suicide reconstructions and taught Brief Cognitive Behavioral Techniques for Suicidality for numerous federal prisons throughout the United States and retired with over 20 years of federal law enforcement service in 2023. Dr. Miller received her Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology in 2000 from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
