Ms. Nicolesha Reed is the Chief of Telesocial Work for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. The department of Telesocial Work provides mental health services to patients throughout the state facilities. In conjunction with the Telepsychiatry and Telepsychology Departments, the Telesocial Work Department aims to provide access to compassionate, high quality, supportive, evidence based clinical care to all patients who would otherwise be underserved due to geographic barriers.  Ms. Reed previously served as a parole officer with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and at an underprivileged school district as a school social worker in east San Antonio with at-risk youth. From 2014-2023, she worked at Pleasant Valley State Prison as a clinician and later a supervisor.
