Dr. Scott LePor is a family physician who resides in Austin, Texas. He is the Medical Director of the Texas Juvenile Justice Department, an adjunct assistant professor in the department of epidemiology at the University of Texas Medical Branch, and is using the evidence-based neuroscience of interpersonal neurobiology to help implement the Texas Model to Texas youth in need. He is a member of the Texas HHSC Cross Systems Trauma-Informed Workgroup, Statewide Behavioral Health Coordinating Council, Judicial Commission on Mental Health, and others. Through his experience as a foster parent, Dr. LePor sought further training through Texas Christian University Institute of Child Development to help heal the life traumas of children from hard places with the evidence-based neuroscience of Trust Based Relational Intervention.
