Dr. Melissa S. Caldwell is an award-winning clinical-forensic psychologist and Chief Behavioral Health Officer for Freedom Behavioral Health. A former correctional officer with more than 30 years of experience in corrections, she leads behavioral health programs across 16 states. Dr. Caldwell specializes in correctional behavioral health, suicide prevention, first responder wellness, and forensic consultation. A nationally recognized speaker, consultant, and expert witness, she received NCCHC’s Edward A. Harrison Award of Excellence in Correctional Health Care Leadership for her significant contributions to the field.
