Dr. Sadiq Hassan is a psychiatrist at SCI Somerset, a state prison in central Pennsylvania. He completed medical school at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York. He completed a combined residency in family medicine and psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he currently works as a part-time faculty member. Dr. Hassan is passionate about working with underserved populations and individuals with serious and persistent mental illness. He is also interested in the integration of medical and psychiatric care and providing mental health treatment in primary care settings. He enjoys teaching and has received an award for best faculty teacher.
