Dr. Lynn Murphy holds a Doctor of Psychology in clinical psychology from National Louis University. She has experience across hospital, community mental health, academic, and forensic settings. Dr. Murphy currently serves as a provisional psychologist at Columbia Correctional Institution, where she provides individual and group therapy, conducts comprehensive psychological assessments, facilitates psychoeducation, and delivers crisis intervention services. Her clinical training includes outpatient counseling, virtual behavioral health, and neuropsychological assessment, with experience in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, trauma-informed care, and motivational interviewing. Dr. Murphy has contributed to research initiatives, including a virtual crisis response task force during COVID-19, media literacy across the life span, and outdoor therapy. In addition to her clinical work, she serves as an adjunct professor, mentoring emerging professionals in behavioral science.
