The nation's first comprehensive medication for opioid use disorder program for a statewide correctional system was established in Rhode Island five years ago. In this poster, we present the importance of communication between security and medical staff as it relates to MOUD program success, medication hoarding and diversion, and examples of successful responses to suspected diversion.
