This discussion will identify and explore the importance of pursuing an intentional path toward diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within correctional health care systems to foster a positive work environment and ensure quality patient care without regard for a person's race, gender, socioeconomic background, sexual orientation, and other underlying identity factors.
