Attendees will learn why correctional facilities should offer opioid treatment programs and the steps to implementing and maintaining a successful OTP. Topics include the benefits and impact on overall health care, timely and appropriate access to OTP services, patient engagement, facility climate, and successful reentry, along with challenges that can interfere with a successful OTP and how to overcome them. Multidisciplinary collaboration will be emphasized.
