Description

This presentation examines barriers and facilitators to linking individuals to medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD) after incarceration. Drawing on in-depth interviews with correctional and community health care stakeholders, the presentation will showcase preliminary findings on reentry processes and programs for MOUD treatment linkage. This session will explore challenges and key considerations in correctional-community partnerships, highlighting effective strategies such as structured reentry programs and peer support services to bridge MOUD treatment gaps and ensure care continuity.
