Name
491 Polysubstance Use and MOUD During Reincarceration
Description

Continuity of care often breaks down between community treatment and reincarceration. This study explores how polysubstance use profiles documented during community opioid treatment relate to medications for opioid use disorder prescribing during incarceration. Examine opportunities to improve continuity, strengthen prescribing practices, and support more coordinated treatment approaches across correctional and community health systems.

Educational Objectives

  • Describe substance-use risk patterns among reincarcerated adults returning from community OTP treatment
  • Examine how MOUD engagement and dosing vary across risk profiles
  • Identify opportunities to improve risk-informed MOUD prescribing and continuity of care
