Dr Elana Sullivan strives to improve healthcare and reduce disparities for those who are justice-involved. She is the State Medical Director with Wellpath in Massachusetts and her current focus is improving serious illness care for the state prison population. Dr Sullivan completed her residency at Duke University Medical Center. She is board certified both in Internal Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine. She has extensive experience across the healthcare continuum as a primary care physician, hospitalist, palliative care leader and hospice medical director. She recently completed her Master in Public Health at Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health. She was recognized as a Fellow of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine this year.
