Dr. Meay Williams is a Medical Doctor and public health enthusiast who is currently managing infectious diseases and infection control practices at the Rhode Island Department of Corrections (RIDOC). She holds an MD from Thailand and an MPH from UCLA and is also a CCHP. Her work experience is extensive, spanning diverse roles including a 15-year tenure as a clinical provider, an auditor at the Department of Health, a medical manager at a global biopharmaceutical company, and a global health delegate to the World Health Organization. Since her arrival at the RIDOC in November 2020, she has been instrumental in improving inmate health care through health promotion, cancer screening, COVID-19 mitigation, and preparedness.
