Dr. Patricia Blair is a registered nurse with over 25 years of experience in nursing education, including baccalaureate, master's, and doctoral studies. She is an associate professor at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in the school of nursing graduate program. Her field of concentration and area of research are both correctional health care. UTMB provides 80% of the correctional health care for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and the campus houses the largest correctional acute care hospital in the United States. In her practice as an attorney, she has represented nurses and other health care professionals before peer review committees and state licensing boards. Dr. Blair represents the American Bar Association on the NCCHC Board of Representatives.
