Ms. Sarah Bur is a registered nurse with a master's degree in public health from Johns Hopkins University. She is certified in infection control and currently serves as public health consultant for VitalCore Health Strategies, a correctional health care company. Previously Ms. Bur worked for 16 years with the Federal Bureau of Prisons where her responsibilities included oversight of outbreak investigation in the BOP's 122 federal prisons. Prior to that she worked with the Maryland health department on tuberculosis, sexually transmitted infection, refugee and migrant health, and HIV/AIDS programs.
