Dr. Kathryn Cook is a licensed clinical psychologist who studied at Nova Southeastern University and the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She has worked within the Florida Department of Corrections for the past 12 years, most recently serving as regional mental health director for Centurion for various institutions in central Florida. She now works as a clinical operations specialist on the Behavioral Health Team of Centurion's Clinical Operations Team and serves as a consultant and resource for various correctional and forensic contracts nationwide. Dr. Cook supervises and mentors numerous early-career mental health clinicians working in corrections, including serving on the Training Committee for the psychology internship and residency programs offered to psychology trainees in the Florida Department of Corrections. She consistently emphasizes the importance of lifelong learning, psychological safety, and wellness and self-care for correctional clinicians, and continues to improve the quality of mental health care in the correctional environment.
