Dr. Melissa Gonska is a licensed psychologist who obtained her doctorate in psychology from Marywood University in 2010. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Ancora Psychiatric Hospital, where she obtained training on specialized inpatient units. She has held roles as a clinician in forensic settings and was the director of an outpatient clinic that offered services to individuals with a history of sexually offending and/or relational violence. She currently serves as the Regional Behavioral Health Director for YesCare at the Philadelphia Department of Prisons. She also provides psychotherapy through a private practice in the Philadelphia area. Dr. Gonska has had formal training in evidence-based treatments such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Prolonged Exposure Therapy.
