Ms. Miriam Ha is a physician assistant practicing in the Los Angeles, San Gabriel, and Antelope Valleys for the last 16 years. She recently retired from California Correctional Health Care Services where she was a primary care and addiction medicine provider at the Los Angeles County state prison, and has worked for the City of Los Angeles/Los Angeles Police Department jail clinics for 11 years. Ms. Ha holds certifications in public health, correctional health care, and addiction medicine, and has a particular interest in the impact of systemic racism in the carceral setting on the health of both offenders and employees working within this system. She enjoys travel and volunteerism in her spare time which has provided opportunities to work throughout Los Angeles County, where she was born and raised, as well as in China, Tibet, Central America and East Africa.
