Ms. Bianca Padilla is a licensed professional counselor in Washington, DC with experience in government-contract, community, and correctional settings. Ms. Padilla currently serves as a mental health specialist for the DC Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services' Youth Services Center (DYRS; YSC [a juvenile detention facility]). She is a Certified Correctional Health Professional and a certified GAIN-I Full Site Interviewer for DYRS which allows her to contribute to care coordination efforts for youth with substance use histories. Throughout her career, she completed multiple trainings to provide trauma-informed care, such as trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and has experience administering and utilizing various mental health measures and assessments to conceptualize behavior and determine treatment needs. She is dedicated to the field of forensic psychology and advocating for the needs of those impacted by the criminal justice system. She has contributed to the American Psychological Association's Culturally Informed Trauma and Grief Recovery Toolkit, co-authored literature highlighting the resilience of Black and Latinx adolescent girls, and is a recipient of a 2025 NCCHC Foundation Scholarship.
