Dr. Larisa Palmer is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 15 years of forensic experience, 11 of which have been spent working with men and women in the state prison system. Through her work in corrections, Dr. Palmer earned the Chris Stokes Excellence in Mental Health award from Centurion Health. She has also worked within the school setting, specifically with individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and juvenile justice involvement. She earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from Nova Southeastern University and has maintained CCHP certification since 2012. Dr. Palmer is currently the mental health director at the South Florida Reception Center in Doral, Florida and serves as adjunct faculty in the bachelor's program and the master?s in forensic psychology program at Nova Southeastern University.
