Ms. Sarah Thomas-Nededog is program director for the Guam Department of Corrections. She has committed herself to the human services profession for more than 45 years. She was the recipient for the National Association of Social Workers-Guam Chapter's Lifetime Achievement Award and the Humanitarian Award from the Filipino Community of Guam in 2015. In 2020, the University of Guam recognized her as a distinguished alumna. Ms. Thomas-Nededog's past leadership experience includes serving as executive director for the Governor of Guam's Office of Homelessness and Poverty Prevention, regional vice president for WestCare Pacific Islands, program officer for the Guam Humanities Council, and executive director for Sanctuary, Incorporated, which, under her leadership, became Guam's first accredited nonprofit agency through CARF. She continues to be an advocate, educator, manager, and staunch supporter of improving the standards of service for government, nonprofits, and for socioeconomic development for Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, and Micronesia.
