Dr. Alysse Wurcel is a nationally recognized clinician investigator with over 20 years of expertise in infectious diseases and experience working with people with HIV, people who are incarcerated, and people who use drugs. She joined the faculty of Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine in October 2024 as an Associate Professor and clinician investigator in the Section of General Internal Medicine. She provides patient care in the Section of Infectious Diseases. She currently has NIH-funding from NIDA and AHRQ-funding to improve systems of infectious disease-related care.
