Dr. Amberlee Perez is a licensed clinical psychologist and qualified supervisor working in correctional mental health for over 12 years. She currently oversees the care of mental health services within five correctional institutions in the state of Florida, two of which offer court-ordered mental health services for patients struggling with severe and persistent mental illness. Prior to her correctional career, she worked within the Department of Juvenile Justice. She earned both her MA and PsyD in Clinical Psychology from the Florida School of Professional Psychology, Argosy Tampa. Her research interests include animal-assisted therapy, self-harm behaviors, vicarious trauma, and well-being programs.
