Mr. Wence Asonganyi is a doctoral candidate at New Mexico State University’s College of Health, Education, and Social Transformation and serves as Director of Health Services Administration for the New Mexico Corrections Department. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and a Master of Science degree and has extensive experience in correctional health systems both nationally and internationally. Mr. Asonganyi’s work focuses on expanding access to evidence-based treatment for opioid use disorder, implementing innovative health care technologies, and advancing health equity for justice-involved populations. He is a published researcher and frequent national speaker on correctional health care innovation and quality improvement.
