Ms. Maya Merriweather is senior program manager for the Menopause Project at Impact Justice, where she leads strategy, evaluation, and programming to advance menopause care and resources for people who are incarcerated. Ms. Merriweather has more than eight years of nonprofit program leadership experience at the intersection of public health and incarceration. Previously, she managed the Healing to Advocacy Program at Essie Justice Group, developing programs for women with incarcerated loved ones. She also served as senior project manager at the Black AIDS Institute, leading national training, capacity-building initiatives, community engagement, and digital campaigns focused on HIV education, prevention, and treatment. Ms. Merriweather earned a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in health policy and a bachelor's degree from DePaul University. She also completed postbaccalaureate premedical studies at the University of Southern California.
