Nancy Whitney has been a mental health professional in Washington state for 31 years.  She has a Master's in Psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia.  She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Clinically Certified Forensic Counselor with the National Association of Forensic Counselors.   Her career has always focused on the most difficult to serve in the community.  She has worked in community mental health, residential psychiatry, and home visitation programs.  She has worked in correctional mental health care in the Seattle area for six years.  Previously, she worked at the Fetal Alcohol and Drug Unit, with the University of Washington. She assisted in research to identify individuals with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders in high-risk populations and to develop programs to assist them in success.
