This presentation will differentiate between burnout, compassion fatigue, and vicarious trauma and will illuminate their impacts in the helping fields in corrections. The goal is to inform helping professionals about the risks, warning signs, and coping skills to manage burnout, compassion fatigue, and vicarious trauma in an effort to maintain appropriate boundaries and work-life balance.
