MetroHealth, the medical contractor at the Cuyahoga County Jail, transformed prenatal care in the jail by working with community partners and implementing the first CenteringPregnancy program in a jail setting in the nation. This effort has improved the timeliness of prenatal care, improved maternal health outcomes, and reduced adverse events among the pregnant women in the jail.
