This discussion will focus on how the Washington State Department of Corrections partnered with the Washington State Health Care Authority (Medicaid agency) to leverage existing provider contracts and rates and existing health care claims processing system and share the benefits and results of this initiative, including enhanced editing and reporting that improved payment accuracy and resulted in significant cost savings to the state.
