Mr. Gierlach is the project director for the FOCUS (Frontlines of Communities in the United States) Project at The MetroHealth System located in Cleveland, OH. The FOCUS project supports CDC recommendation for HIV and HCV screening and linkage to care. As the project director, Mr. Gierlach oversees the implementation and day to day operations of HIV and HCV screening throughout the MetroHealth hospital system which includes a newly implemented point of care testing model at the Cuyahoga County Corrections Center. Mr. Gierlach has 5+ years experience in evaluation and HIV related project management. Mr. Gierlach graduated from John Carroll University in 2009 with a Bachelors of Science degree and from Cleveland State University in 2012 with a Masters of Public Health degree.
