141 Breaking the Cycle: SUD, Oral Health, and Reentry
Description
People with substance use disorders are often trapped in a vicious cycle of addiction, incarceration, and poor oral health. This study quantifies the unmet oral health treatment burden in a county detention center in California. This data enables key stakeholders to examine gaps in reentry care for dental treatment, address acute needs that have been overlooked, and develop targeted interventions for optimal care.
