Dr. Vaishnavi Bhaskar manages the dental clinic at Santa Rita Jail in Dublin, California. She obtained her master’s degree in public health, specializing in health policy and management, from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill followed by her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Dr. Bhaskar has worked in correctional health care for 3 years. Her areas of interest include addressing oral health care disparities, addressing systemic and patient-level barriers to accessing dental care at correctional facilities, and facilitating access to continued oral health care upon release.
