Description

Corrections is a unique environment for mental health staff, requiring balancing care and treatment with the safe operations of the facility. This presentation will explore ways to recognize the signs of approaching burnout in self and others, especially as it relates to expectations and increasing mental health acuity within a correctional setting. Interventions to promote self-care and prevention of burnout will be identified and discussed.
