Description
In this roundtable, participants will discuss the persistent challenges adolescents face upon reentry into the community, identify service gaps, and propose strategies for policymakers, practitioners, and communities to consider. Evidence-based strategies and best practices that promote positive outcome, such as family engagement, mentoring, trauma-informed care, and cross-system collaboration, will be highlighted.

- Explain why reentry and transition for youth leaving detention is a critical stage in the juvenile justice process
- Review the primary challenges youth face during reentry
- Identify risk factors and protective factors that influence reentry outcomes
