Dr. Philip Eskew was a site medical director in multiple Wyoming prisons for 9 years. More recently, he has been working as a jail medical director in Colorado. He is also an attorney licensed to practice both medicine and law in multiple states. Dr. Eskew routinely researches direct primary care medical, policy, and legal issues and attempts to bring those ideas to the correctional medicine setting. He is board certified by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) in family medicine, correctional medicine, and addiction medicine, with an AOA certificate of additional qualification in occupational medicine. Dr. Eskew's research has been published in many medical and legal journals and he routinely speaks at direct primary care events.
