Ms. Elizabeth Laferriere is a health policy innovator and longtime federal health leader committed to designing systems that put people at the center and deliver better health for all. She served nearly eight years in senior innovation and leadership roles at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, driving evidence-based initiatives in sexual health, adolescent resilience, and cross-agency collaboration. Currently with the DC Primary Care Association, she co-creates community-driven policy solutions and practical implementation supports for community health centers. As a researcher, she applies design thinking, coalition building, and systems mapping to translate complex policy into actionable improvements in care. Her doctoral research at George Washington University examines continuity of Medicaid coverage and care for youth transitioning from juvenile justice settings, bridging research and practice to inform national policy and create better health pathways for system-impacted youth.
