Ms. Marilyn Perez is a University of Southern California graduate with a BS in Global Health and a MS in Global Medicine. She has experience working on environmental health research with a focus on the health impacts of oil wells in the Los Angeles community. She also has experience working in Alzheimer’s disease research under the Neurological Surgery Department at the Keck School of Medicine, her current work focuses on the impacts of deep brain stimulation on cognition, lipidomics, and connectomics. Outside of research, Ms. Perez is currently volunteers at her local hospital and trains new students to clinically volunteer there as well. In the future, Ms. Perez hopes to go to medical school and become an physician.
