Ms. Joy Santacera is a nurse leader with more than 20 years of experience improving quality, safety, and operational performance in health care and correctional health settings. She serves as Supervising Registered Nurse for Sacramento County Juvenile Correctional Health, where she leads initiatives including CalAIM implementation, quality improvement, and system integration. Ms. Santacera also mentors emerging professionals through the Sacramento County Mentorship Program. Earlier in her career, she worked as an educational consultant for an electronic health record vendor, supporting institutions including Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing, Sheppard Pratt, and the University of Michigan School of Nursing. In 2017, she was recognized as Manager of the Year at the Kaiser Permanente AFM Awards.
