Ms. Scarlett Ong is the Director of Nursing for Juvenile Correctional Health in Sacramento County, where she coordinates operational and clinical workflow to ensure the quality of patient care and service delivery. Acting as a liaison and resource to county departments, she participates in a variety of internal and external meetings, committees, and coalitions, and interacts with various planning councils and boards. She actively participates in the development and revision of program policies, procedures, and protocols, collects, interprets, and disseminates information on laws and regulations governing programs. She proposed and successfully piloted several organizational changes within our program. This includes on-boarding of correctional health staff, STD testing, and trauma-informed care.
