Judge Nelda Cacciotti is a Tarrant County Probate Court Associate Judge presiding over civil commitments, guardianships and probate matters. Her prior experience includes handling mental health related matters involving incompetency, insanity, civil commitment and jail diversion as Chief of the Mental Health Unit in the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office and Judicial Staff Counsel/Mental Health Magistrate for the Tarrant County Criminal Courts. She is a Commissioner of the Texas Judicial Commission on Mental Health. She is a graduate of Texas Wesleyan University School of Law (now Texas A&M University School of Law) and of St. Edward’s University.
