CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT

  • CCHPs: Certified Correctional Health Professionals may earn up to 23.5 contact hours of Category I continuing education for recertification.
  • Nurses: The National Commission on Correctional Health Care designates this learning experience as Outcome Level 1 & 2. The National Commission on Correctional Health Care is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. NCCHC designates this educational activity for a maximum of 23.5 contact hours.To receive credit for each session claimed, nurses must attend the entire session and complete and submit an evaluation.
  • Nurse Practitioners: AANP and many states accept ANCC, ACCME, or general CE certificates. Please check your state’s requirements.
  • PA: Many states and the AAPA accept ACCME certificates. Please check your state’s requirements.
  • Physicians: The National Commission on Correctional Health Care is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. NCCHC designates this Other activity (live + enduring material) for a maximum of 23.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
  • Psychologists: The National Commission on Correctional Health Care is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. NCCHC maintains responsibility for this program and its content. This educational activity offers up to 20.5 hours of credit.
  • Social Workers: This program is approved by the National Association of Social Workers (Approval # 886452976-1935) for 12.5 continuing education contact hours.

To receive continuing education credit, you must complete the conference evaluation form.

  • Log on to your myNCCHC account via my.ncchc.org/expressevaluation and click on the event evaluation link.
  • Once you complete the evaluation, print your continuing education certificate.
