Dr. Milan F. Satcher, MPH is an Assistant Professor of Community and Family Medicine at Dartmouth Health and Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College. She is also a Health Equity Faculty Fellow at The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice. She is a board-certified family physician with a focus on delivering recovery-oriented reentry care. She received her MD and MPH degrees from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Dr. Satcher completed her family medicine residency and chief residency at Boston Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts, as well as an emergency medicine fellowship at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta, Maine. She is an active board member of the Academic Consortium on Criminal Justice Health. Dr. Satcher's research focuses on the development and implementation of community-partnered biopsychosocial interventions to eliminate disparities in health and healthcare delivery for communities vulnerable to socio-political exclusion, particularly rural populations impacted by the criminal legal system and substance use disorders.
