This session highlights the importance of a team-based approach in the appropriate diagnosis, treatment and long term management of patients with severe and persistent mental illness. A case study will be used to spark discussions of barriers to patient care that can lead to delayed diagnosis and treatment. Participants will be invited to reflect on the strengths of their own treatment teams and offer suggestions on ways to improve collaboration within their teams.
