Dr. Sadiq Hassan is a psychiatrist at SCI Somerset, a state prison in central Pennsylvania. He completed medical school at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, NY. He then completed a combined residency in Family Medicine and Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, PA, where he currently works as a part time faculty member. Dr. Hassan is passionate about working with the underserved and those with serious and persistent mental illness. He is also passionate about the integration of medical and psychiatric care and providing mental health treatment in primary care settings. He enjoys teaching and has received an award for best faculty teacher.
