Tattoo removal can play a meaningful role in successful reentry, but access remains limited. This poster shares research showing how removal improves self-perception, supports mental health, and expands employment opportunities for formerly incarcerated and gang-affiliated individuals. Examine the barriers that restrict access, including cost and availability, and consider how expanding these services can strengthen social, financial, and overall well-being during reintegration.
