Dr. Rudy Nunez is an Internal Medicine specialist with 28 years of clinical and administrative experience in correctional health care. He is responsible for overseeing primary care to the incarcerated population and implementing protocols in the treatment of HIV, Hepatitis C and Addiction Medicine. Dr. Nunez has held the position of Chief Medical Officer for Mediko Correctional Health Services, Associate Chief Medical Officer for Armor Correctional Health Care and FL Regional Medical Director under Centurion Health in FL-DOC from 2018 -2020. Dr. Nunez is a contributing member of the NCCHC Task Force that revised the 2018 NCCHC Accreditation Standards for Health Services in Jails, Prisons, and Juvenile Facilities and is on the CCHP Clinical Provider Examination Review Sub-Committee He is an active Physician Surveyor for the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC), Fellow of The American College of Correctional Physicians (ACCP), Past Board Member of The CCHP Board of Trustees and Past President of the ACCP. In 2023, Dr. Nunez was presented with The Armond Start Award of Excellence in correctional healthcare by The American College of Correctional Physicians.
