Dr. Sandra Connolly is the medical director at Monmouth County Correctional Institution . She has practiced primary care medicine for 33 years and became certified in addiction medicine four years ago while working for Rutgers University Correctional Health Care. Her passion for correctional medicine was sparked when she attended a rally on the issue of mass incarceration. She also provides continuity of care to released individuals in Monmouth County and collaborates with the behavioral home health program that provides them with case workers, transportation, assistance with housing and employment, and other crucial services.
